1/2 c white rice
1 lb bacon
3 Tbsp bacon drippings
3/4 c celery, chopped
1 c onion, chopped
1/3 c green peppers, chopped
2 cans (14 oz each) chicken broth
1 can (4 oz) mushrooms
3 cans (10 3/4 oz each) mushroom soup

1. Wash rice. Boil for 15 minutes, drain and set aside.
2. Fry bacon until crisp.
3. Saute celery, onion and green pepper in drippings until onions are transparent. Put in a large kettle.
4. Add rice, broth, mushrooms, soup and bacon. Cook on low heat 1 hour or more.
