1 ¼ C Crisco ¼ tsp salt
2 C brown sugar 4 tsp soda
2 eggs 2 tsp cinnamon
½ C molasses 2 tsp ginger
3 ¾ to 4 C flour 1 tsp cloves

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and molasses.
Beat well. Add spices, salt and soda – mix thoroughly. Add
flour and mix well. Dough should be sticky. Chill well. Roll
into balls approximately. 1” in diameter. Roll balls in white sugar.
( I use raw sugar) Bake at 325 for 10 to 13 minutes. Do not
over bake. Cookies are done when they cracked on top, but not
brown. Enjoy!
