1 c. butter
1 1/3 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. almond ( you can you also use lemon juice)
2 1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. milk

Directions:
Directions:
In a mixing bowl cream butter, gradually add sugar and beat until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time. Add vanilla and almond extract. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Turn into greased pan. Bake 60-70 minutes at 350°F. Cool in pan for 5 minutes. Turn onto rack and cool completely.
