4 c. (chopped apples, peaches, or blueberries)
1 c. water
2 T. lemon juice
1 1/4 c. sugar
1/3 c. cornstarch
3 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 T. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. butter
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Topping:
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. flour
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
In saucepan simmer fruit and water 5 minutes. Stir in lemon. Next stir in the sugar and cornstarch mixture (1 1/4 c. sugar, 1/3 c. cornstarch). Cook till thick. COOL.

Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and cinnamon. Cut in butter. Combine eggs, milk, vanilla. Spread half of the batter in a greased 9x13 pan. Next spread the cooled fruit mixture. Spread the second half of the batter.

Combine topping ingredients and sprinkle on top. Bake at 350° for 45-50 minutes.
