SCRATCH DEVIL'S FOOD CAKE:
2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup margarine, softened
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. soda
1/2 cup cocoa
2 eggs
1 1/4 cup milk
1 tsp. vanilla

YELLOW CAKE:
2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup margarine, softened
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs
3/4 cup plus 5 T. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Directions:
Directions:
Make Devil's Food cake by creaming butter and sugar. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well.

Make Yellow Cake by creaming butter and sugar. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well.

Grease and flour 2 9x13 pans or 4 round cake pans. Pour Devil's Food cake batter into all pans. Add the yellow cake mix by spoonfuls that you then use a knife to swirl around (not totally mix in) before baking.

Bake at 350º for 25-35 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

***If making just the Devil's Food Cake, bake at 350º for 25-35 minutes. If making just the Yellow Cake, bake at 375º for 20-25 minutes.

Frost with Creamy Chocolate Frosting.
Caramel Frosting is good on the Yellow Cake.
