2-3 large white onions
3 T cornstarch
1 c cream
1/4 c butter

Directions:
Directions:
Cut onions in large chunks. Put in a large sauce pan, add just enough water to cover onions. Cook onions in an uncovered pot until tender and translucent. Mix cornstarch in 1 cup of cold water. When onions are cooked but still boiling add water and cornstarch. Add slowly to desired consistency ( should be thicker than gravy) . Remove from heat and add cream and butter.
