1 unbaked 9" pie shell
3 eggs
1 c. sugar
1 c. light corn syrup
1/4 c. melted butter
2 oz. unsweetened baking chocolate
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. large pecan pieces

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400F. Beat eggs in a large bowl, stir in sugar and corn syrup. Combine melted butter, baking chocolate and vanilla. Add to first mixture but do not over-beat. Sprinkle pecans in prepared shell and slowly pour filling mixture over the pecan pieces. Bake15 min at 400F, then lower to 325F and bake until filling is puffed & set - about 45-50 minutes. You may want to cover the crust edges with foil to prevent them from getting too done. Makes one pie.
