Ingredients:  
1 c. margarine, butter or butter Crisco
1 1/4 c. packed brown sugar
2 eggs
2 T. milk
2 tsp. vanilla
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
2 1/3 c.dry oats
12 oz. of chocolate chips
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Beat margarine and sugars until creamy. Add eggs, milk and vanilla and beat well. Add flour, salt, soda; mix well. Stir in the oats, chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by measuring rounded Tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375F for 9-10 for chewy cookie or 12-13 minutes for crisp cookie. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet. Remove to wire rack & cool completely. Makes about 5 dozen 2 1/4" cookies.
