1 cup room temp Water
1 tsp salt
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup shortening
1/4 cup dry milk
1 egg
1 Tbsp of yeast
3 cups bread flour (or plain will do )


Directions:
Directions:
1. Add ingredients in the order written to bread machine. Set at dough(1 1/2 hours)
2..Remove dough from machine and divide in 12 portions for larger rolls or 15 for smaller rolls. Shape into balls by pinching dough at bottom of ball. For 12 you can use a greased muffin tin and for 15 you can use a 9"X13" baking pan. Let rise until double(30-45 Minutes)
3. Bake at 350 for 15-18 minutes for 12 and 12-15 minutes for 15(until golden brown on top)
4..You can also half dough and make rolls with 1 half and cinnamon rolls with other half. Follow topping and icing recipe on cinnamon roll recipe

Fannie Sue use to make these and keep in the frig and warm up in microwave for 10-15 sec since it was just her and Henry. She also halved the recipe and made cinnamon rolls with one half. When Chrissy use to go to her house the first thing she asked for was "Grandma do you have any rolls?". Now when I am around her I try to make them for her. I am sure they are not quite as good as Fannie Sue's but they are a close second. Her Mom, Diana makes them for her too.
