2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
3 Pounds lean ground beef
3 Large onions, chopped
1 Large green bell pepper
1 Tbsp. minced fresh garlic
1/3 Cup chili poweder
1 1/2 Tbsp. ground cumin
1 1/2 Tbsp. dried oregano leaves
3/4 Tsp. crushed hot red pepper flakes
1 Can crushed tomatoes
1 Can stewed tomatoes
2 Cups beef broth
Salt and ground black pepper to taste

In 8-quart pot, heat the oil over medium high heat. Add the meat and cook, stirring to break up lumps and no longer pink, spoon off fat
Stir in the remaining ingredients
Bring to a boil
Reduce heat to low and simmer, uncovered for 30 minutes
Add salt and pepper if needed
