2 to 3 slabs of ribs or equivalent amount of Texas
cut ribs.
2 tsp. salt
1 bay leaf
1 peppercorn
1 large whole onion
1 branch of celery

2 tbsp. butter
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 tsp. garlic
1/4 cup catsup
1/4 cup vinegar
2 tbsp. brown sugar
1 cup tomato sauce
1 tsp. worchestershire
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper

Bake at 400 for 30 to 40 minutes.

Use lg. stock pot:
Put ribs in water that covers ribs with first 4 seasoning. Bring to a boil, then simmer for
1 to 1 1/2 hour with lid on pot.

Make sauce:
In saucepan add butter, onions, cook until tender, add garlic.
Add the rest of ingredients, bring to a boil, then simmer until ribs are done.

Remove ribs from pot (drain), lay them in lg. roasting pan.

Brush sauce on ribs both sides heavy.
Save some to reapply one more time while cooking, and save some to brush on when serving.

Cover with lid or foil while cooking.
