2 cups sugar
2 cups flour
2 stick butter
1 cup water
1/2 cup butter milk
4 tbsps. cocoa
1 tsp. soda
1 tbsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs

Icing:
1 stick butter
2 tbsp. milk
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 box Powdered sugar
1 cup pecans (optional)

Directions:

Bake at 400 for 15 to 20 minutes

Use a greased 12 x 17 shallow pan

Bring butter, water & cocoa to a boil, (don't keep boiling, just bring it to a boil), pour over sugar and flour.

Add buttermilk, soda, cinnamon, vanilla & eggs.

Mix well by hand and pour into pan.

Icing:
Bring butter, milk & cocoa to a boil, add powdered sugar, vanilla & pecans (optional).
Spread over hot cake after removing from oven.

An old friend of the Tremble family from Kansas named Julia (she was a school teacher) gave this to me back in the 70's. It is yummy!
