4 -5 lbs. rump or sirloin tip roast
1 pkg. Lipton onion soup mix

Sauce:
1 large can mushrooms
2 cans beef broth

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325º. Place roast in a roasting bag, sprinkle soup mix evenly on top. Bake for three hours.

Take roast out of the oven, cool 20 minutes and slice.

in a 9x13 or crock pot put sliced beef, mushrooms with juice and broth. Bake at 300º or on low in the crock pot for 3 hours.

This is a good main coarse for entertaining, because you do the final preparations three hours in advance. In a nice 9x13 pan it comes out of the oven ready to serve. In the crock pot this dish is good for more casual dining and serves well on rolls. It is a family favorite. I have found some butchers that will slice the raw roast and tie it back together. The roast dries out a tiny bit, but makes it convenient when serving a large crowd.
