3/4 C.sugar granulated
1 teaspoon butter
3 teaspoons cornstarch
1 lemon









Directions:
Directions:
In double boiler, put 1 C. water, 1 teas. butter and grated rind of 1 lemon. Mix sugar & cornstarch together; and add the well beaten yolks of eggs, add teas. lemon juice. Add slowly to ingredients in double boiler and cook, stirring constantly; or will scorch, use wooden spoon;continue stir until it thickens. Pour in baked pie crust and top with meringue made from the 2 remaining egg whites.
beat egg whites stiffly and after its stiff, put 4 teas sugar in meringue.
