1 egg, slightly beaten
3/4 cup (or 1/4 sugar 1/2 cup brown sugar blend)
1 cup peeled /cored/sliced Michigan apples (Granny Smith or McIntosh)
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup flour
Pinch salt (regular table salt - not Kosher)
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 cup chopped black walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Lightly grease a 9 inch metal pie pan. Combine beaten egg with sugar and fold in apples. Stir in baking powder, flour, salt, vanilla and walnuts. Spread in pan.

Bake at 450 degrees for 25 minutes.

Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
