Mulligatawny Soup Recipe

3/4 c onion diced
6 tbsp margarine
3 small carrots diced
1/1/2 stalks celery diced
1 green pepper diced
4 1/2 tbsp flour
2 med potatoes diced
1 1/2 tsp curry powder
3 whole cloves
3 c consommé
1 1/2 c canned tomatoes
s&p to taste

Saute onion in margarine. Add carrots,celery,potatoes,& green pepper. Push vegetables to one side and stir in flour. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer, covered for 30 min.
* 1 tsp beef oxo plus 1 c water = 1 c consommé
