We used to have "clean the toys" day in the backyard with the use of shaving cream. You can purchase cheap shaving cream at the dollar store (I don't recommend the menthol type, it can burn the eyes). The kiddos get in their bathing suits and can rub shaving cream all over their toys, bikes and even themselves to get "clean". It's a great sensory activity as well! Providing a table they can put the shaving cream on is wonderful. They can practice their spelling and draw with their fingers. You can also add food coloring to make the shaving cream more entertaining. Providing blocks in the shaving cream is great. They love to stack them as high as they can using the shaving cream as glue. Then hand them a hose and let them wash it off themselves and their toys.
