1 c. cocoa powder
1 1/4 c. water
1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/4 c. corn syrup
1/2 c. + 5 T. heavy cream
5 oz. semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
Dippers--pound cake, fruit, cheesecake, marshmallows, brownies, etc.

Bring to a boil the water, sugar, and corn syrup. Allow to simmer for 10-15 minutes until the liquid has reduced by about 30%. Remove from heat. Add cocoa powder and stir with a whisk until well blended and smooth. Put the mixture back on the stove and cook over medium heat, adding heavy cream. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and allow to simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and stir in the semi-sweet chocolate. Pour in the fondue pot to keep warm.
