1/2 c. lukewarm water
1 pkg. yeast
5 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
3 Tbsp. baking powder
3 Tbsp. sugar
3/4 c. shortening
2 c. buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve yeast in water. Combine dry ingreadients; but in shortening. Add yeast and buttermilk and stir until flour is moistened. Do not overmix. Place in a covered bowl and put in refrigerator.

When ready to use, preheat oven to 400, take out the amount of batter you want to bake and roll out to 3/4" thick. Cut into rounds.

Place on a greased cookie sheet and bake for 12 minutes.

This dough will keep well in the refrigerator for several days.
