2 C Flour
3T Sugar
t Baking soda
1T Baking powder
t salt
1 bottle beer (12 oz.) the beer you select changes the taste of the bread

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400

In a large bowl mix flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add beer and mix by hand just until evenly moist. Spread batter into a sprayed 4 x 8 loaf pan.

Bake until well browned and bread begins to pull away from the side of the pan. About 45 minutes. Turn onto a cooling rack and let rest for 10 minutes.

Serve warm or cool completely and wrap in plastic wrap and save for 1 day. Freeze for 1 -2 weeks.

Very easy and very quick, beer bread was popular in the 1970's when the only beer choices were Bud and Coors. Today with all the micro-brew options, you can experiment with a variety of beers to see which bread you like the best.
