1/3 cup shortening (Crisco)
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 3/4 cup sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 2-3)
1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together shortening & sugar; add eggs & beat well. Sift together dry ingredients; add to creamed mixture alternately with banana, blending well after each addition. Stir in nuts. Pour into well-greased loaf pan. Bake in 350 oven for 40-45 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from pan; cool on rack.

Pampered Chef loaf pan is the BEST to use with this recipe, although it might take a little longer to bake - always do the "toothpick test"!
