2 c. flour
4 tsp. baking pwd.
3/4 tsp. salt
3 Tbsp. shortening
1 cup milk
1/2 c. grated cheddar cheese (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix dry ingredients together. Cut in shortening and cheese. Stir in milk and mix until dough comes freely from the bowl. Spray cookies sheet lightly with non-stick spray, then drop an ice cream scoop size of dough onto sheet for each biscuit. Bake @ 400 for 10-15 minutes, or just until the biscuit turns a golden yellow.

These are flaky biscuits, best when warm. I usually omit the cheese, but is yummy with it too.
