One head of Romaine lettuce, torn up (or use a bag of the pre-washed and cut kind).
3 or 4 green onions, sliced (both white and green parts)
3 or 4 raw carrots, peeled and cut into thin rounds

If you want to be fancy, you can add sunflower seeds, bacon bits, artichoke hearts, avocados, etc.

Good Seasons Italian Dressing, one packet made according to directions, using apple cider vinegar

Just before serving, toss salad with Good Seasons Italian vinaigrette salad dressing (made using the little packet). Apple cider vinegar is important to the flavor. I even use a little more vinegar than the directions call for.
