Ingredients:  
Ingredients:  
1 1/3 cup of all purpose flour
4 teaspoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
2 eggs, separated
1 1/3 cups of milk
1/4 cup melted shortening

Directions:
Directions:
1. Sift flour,sugar,salt and baking powder together;
2. Mix together milk, shortening and well-beaten egg yolks;
3. Pour wet mixture gradually into dry ingredients and beat until smooth;
4. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
