Basil Walnut Savory Cheesecake Recipe

1 1/2 c. bread crumbs
1/2 c. melted butter
3 T. Parmesan
3 1/2 (8 oz.) pkgs. cream cheese
4 eggs
1/2 c. half & half
1 c. sour cream
1/2 tsp. salt
7 oz. goat cheese
2 c. fresh basil leaves
1/4 c. walnuts
2 T. olive oil

In a small bowl, combine the bread crumbs, butter and parmesan. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 10" springform pan. Refrigerate until ready to use.
In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add the eggs, followed by the half & half, sour cream, salt & goat cheese, beating well after each addition. In a food processor, pulse the basil, walnuts & olive oil until the basil is finely chopped. Add this mixture to the cheese mixture and beat until just combined. Pour the mixture into the chilled crust. Place the spring-form pan on a cookie sheet. Bake at 325 for 1 hour. Turn off the oven; let the cheesecake remain in the oven for an additional 30 minutes.
Cool completely; remove from pan and refrigerate. Serve with crackers.
