1 cup light brown sugar (packed)
1 egg
cup butter
cup sifted flour
1 t. baking powder
t. salt
1 cup nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in the sugar. Blend well. Cool and add egg slightly beaten. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt and add to the above mixture. Add chopped nuts and vanilla. Bake in well greased floured pan 8 by 8 by 2 for 20-25 minutes at 350. Do not over bake. They are supposed to be soft. Cut into squares and roll in powdered sugar.
