Ingredients:
Ingredients:
romaine lettuce
under ripe salad tomatoes (Spaniards like their tomatoes for salads quite green)
1 small sweet onion
1 small can of roasted red pepper
1 small can of corn (drained)
1 can of white tuna in water
Julienned carrots
1 small can of pitted olives (without filling)
extra virgin olive oil
balsamic vinegar
salt

Directions:
Directions:
Break up the lettuce by hand and place it in serving bowl. Then top it with tomato wedges, thin slices of onion, strips of red pepper, carrots strips, olives, drained corn and chunky white tuna. Spaniards usually serve the salad with the dressing already on it, but if you want you can serve the olive oil and vinegar and salt in carafes on the side.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Ensalada in Spanish literally means “salted,” as in salted greens.
