1/2 cup onion, chopped
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 1/2 twirls of vermicelli, broken (Italian pasta noodles)
1 cup long grain white rice (Uncle Ben's)
2 bouillon cubes, chicken or beef
2 1/2 cups boiling water
dash of salt
dash of pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Saute onions in butter 5 minutes. Add vermicelli. Stir and saute until lightly browned. Add rice. Saute 1 minute. Set aside. Dissolve bouillon cubes in boiling water with salt and pepper. Pour into 1 1/2 quart casserole. Add rice. Cover. Bake at 350º for 45 minutes. Uncover. Bake 10 more minutes.
