2 cups flour ( 100% whole wheat works well)
1 T. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 T sugar
1 egg
2 c buttermilk or 1 3/4 c milk and 1/4 c lemon juice heated together to make sour milk
2 T oil

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all dry ingredients in a good sized bowl. Beat the egg, oil and milk in a smaller bowl. combine wet ingredients with dry ingredients. Stir until mixed. Do not over stir. Cook pancakes on hot griddle. Serve with applesauce or syrup.
