8 tbsp. (1 cube) butter
1/2 c. white sugar
1 c. whole wheat flour
1 c. white flour
3/4 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
2 tsp baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400º.
Mix all ingredients together.
Roll out like a thick cookie.
Use round cookie cutter to make 10 to 12 rounds.
Bake for 12 minutes, then remove from oven.
Reduce oven to 250º.
Let cool 5 minutes; split rounds while warm.
Put back on cookie sheet and heat until toasted, approximately 30 to 45 minutes.
