1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. shortening
1/3 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1-1/4 c. sifted flour
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp maple flavoring
1/4 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp salt

Pecan halves
1 large Hershey Bar

Mix top 9 ingredients well
Spoon batter into small balls and press onto pecan halves
Place on cookie sheet
Bake on 350 for 10 - 12 minutes

Melt Hershey bar and quickly frost each turtle
Turtle cookie should be cool - work quickly with topping
