1 1/4 c. butter or margarine (softened)
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. sifted flour
1/2 c. unsweetened cocoa
1 c. finely chopped pecans
1 c. semisweet chocolate pieces, melted

Directions:
Directions:
Beat butter, sugar, egg and vanilla 2 minutes, using mixer at medium speed. Reduce speed to low. Add flour and cocoa; beat until well mixed. Shape dough into 2 (9") rolls. Roll in pecans, wrap in waxed paper. Place rolls in plastic bag and seal. Chill rolls 4 hours or until firm. Refrigerate up to 1 week or freeze up to 3 months. Cut each roll into 1/3" - thick slices and place on baking sheets as directed. Bake in 375º oven for 8 to 10 minutes. Spread tops of cooled cookies with melted chocolate.
