1 1/4 c. Boiling Water
1 c. Oatmeal
1 stick Butter
1 c. Brown Sugar
1 c. Sugar
1 1/3 c. All-Purpose Flour, sifted
1 tsp. Baking Soda
1 tsp. Cinnamon
1/2 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. Nutmeg
3/4 stick Butter
1/2 c. Brown Sugar
1/2 c. Sugar
1/4 c. Evaporated Canned Milk
1 c. Shredded Coconut
1 c. Pecans

Pour boiling Water over Oatmeal and Butter. Let stand 10-20 minutes. Add Brown Sugar, Sugar, Flour,Baking Soda, Cinnamon, Salt, and Nutmeg. Stir gently. Do not use mixer. Pour in buttered 13x9 pan and bake 35 minutes at 350 degrees. Mix icing and pour over cake after cake has baked and brown under broiler about 5 minutes. Leave in pan and cut in squares.
