1-1/2 sticks of butter
2 cups sugar
2 cups flour
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup buttermilk
1 cup pecans (chopped)
5 egg yolks
5 egg whites
1 tsp soda
1 small can coconut
1/2 tsp butter flavor

Cream butter. Add sugar & beat. Add egg yolks on at a time. Sift flour and soda together. Alternately add flour & buttermilk to sugar mixture. Add vanilla, butter flavor, coconut & pecans. Fold in stiftly beaten egg whites. Bake in 3 layers in a 350 oven for 25 minutes or unitl done.

2 (8oz) cream cheese
1 lb powdered sugar
1 stick butter
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Cream cheese & butter till smooth. Add sugar & vanilla. Add chopped pecans. Spread on layers and sides.
