1 1/2 cups butter ( 3 sticks)
1 cup granulated sugar
2 egg yolks
3 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
1 tsp vanilla extract
dash salt

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees

In a large bowl, cream butter with sugar. Add egg yolks, beating well after each addition. Stir in flour and salt; add vanilla and mix well. With hands, roll dough into 1-inch balls. Place cookies, 2 1/2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet. Flatten slightly with hand or a fork. Bake 10 to 15 minutes or until cookies are set. Transfer to wire reck and cool completely. Store in airtight container.

Makes 7 dozen cookies
