2 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. salt
1 (8 oz) package egg noodles
1/2 cup grated Cheddar cheese
1 lb. ground chuck or round
Black pepper to taste
4-5 shallots (green onions), chopped
1 tsp. minced garlic (can substitute garlic powder)
2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
1 (3-oz.) package cream cheese (softened)
1 (8 oz.) carton sour cream

Melt butter in a large frying pan. Toss in meat and cook until brown. Drain any excess grease. Add garlic, salt, pepper and tomato sauce. Cook 15-20 minutes.

Preheat oven to 350.

In a separate pan, boil noodles according to package instructions. Drain. Toss with olive oil to avoid sticking).

Mix shallots with softened cream cheese and sour cream. Spray 9 x 13 casserole dish with Pam. Layer ingredients, first using noodles, and then cheese mixture, ending with meat mixture. When dish is filled, sprinkle cheddar cheese over top.

Bake 15-25 minutes, or until quite bubbly hot.
