Cocoa Cola Cake Recipe

2/3 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup cola
2/3 cup butter or margarine
2 tsp cocoa
2 eggs
1/2 cup buttermilk
2 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cups mini marshmallows

Cocoa Topping:

1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup cola
1/4 cup cocoa
2 1/2 cups icing sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup chopped nuts

Cake: In a large mixing bowl, stir together flour, sugar and baking soda. Set aside. In a medium saucepan bring cola, margarine and cocoa powder to boiling at medium heat. Add the hot mixture to the flour mixture. Stir until just combined. Add eggs, buttermilk and vanilla. Stir until combined. Gently stir in marshmallows. (They will float to the top.) Pour the cake batter into a greased 9x13" pan. bake in a 350 oven for 30 minutes or until done. Topping: In a medium saucepan, bring margarine, cocoa and cola to boiling. Add icing sugar and vanilla. Mix with a wire whisk until combined. Stir in the chopped nuts. Immediately spread cocoa topping over hot cake, then thoroughly cool and cut into squares to serve.
