2/3 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2/3 cup all purpose flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
pinch of salt
1/4 cup butter, melted

Directions:
Grease and flour 8-1/2 inch springform pan; line bottom with wax paper and set aside. In warmed mixing bowl, beat eggs until foamy. Gradually beat in sugar; beat at high speed 4 to 5 minutes or until pale yellow and batter falls in ribbons when beaters are lifted. Beat in vanilla. Stir together flour. baking powder and salt; sift one-third over egg mixture and fold in. Repeat twice more. Gently fold in melted butter. Pour into prepared pan. Bake in 325* F oven for about 40 minutes or until cake springs back when lightly touched in centre. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes. Turn out onto rack and cool completely.
