Spanish Rice Recipe

1 lb. ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
1 tsp salt
1 tsp chili powder
1/2 clove minced garlic
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 14 oz can diced tomatoes
1 can water
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 c uncooked white rice

Brown ground beef with onion, green pepper and spices in a large skillet. Add tomatoes, water, Worcestershire sauce and rice. Cover and simmer 30 minutes until rice is tender. Stir often. You may need to add more water.

For extra spice, I sometimes add cayenne pepper or crushed red peppers.

Top with shredded cheese and salsa.
