1 1/2 c sugar
1/2 c shortening
1 1/2 c to 2 c flour
1 c (3 large) mashed bananas
1 tsp soda
2 egg yolks
4 T sour milk or cream
2 stiffly beaten egg whites

Cream sugar & shortening; add egg yolks.Dissolve soda in milk and mix with bananas; sift dry ingredients and add alternating with banana mixture. Add nuts and last fold in egg whites.Bake 350 in a 9in x 12in pan Around 40 minutes

3/4 c sugar
3/4 c brown sugar
3/4 c whipping cream
1 tsp vanilla
dab of butter
Cook until softball stage. Remove from fire. Add vanilla and butter and beat until thick enough to spread.
