2 c. sugar 1 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. ground cloves 2 tsp. ground cinnamon 1 tsp. ground nutmeg 1/2 c. water 4 to 4 1/2 c. pecan halves
Combine first 6 ingredients in a deep 3 qt. casserole, mixing well. Cover with waxed paper. Microwave on high for 4 minutes. Stir well. Microwave on high another 2 1/2 to 4 1/2 minutes, or until mixture reaches soft ball stage. Add pecans and stir until well coated. Spread on waxed paper and separate with a fork. Cool completely.
