Fudge Nut Brownies Recipe

1/2 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla

1 1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. oatmeal

1/2 c. chocolate chips
1/2 c. Eagle Brand milk
1 T. butter
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla.

Cream butter, brown sugar, egg and vanilla.
Add flour, soda, salt, and oatmeal.

Melt over hot water: chocolate chips, Eagle Brand milk, butter and salt. Add chopped nuts and vanilla. Cool the filling.

Spread 2/3 of the dough in 9x9. Spread on filling and put on remainder of dough. Bake 25 to 30 minutes at 350.
