1 med. onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 T. olive oil
1-28 oz. can diced tomatoes
1 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. basil
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
8 oz. ziti, cooked and drained
2 cups (8 oz) shredded mozzarella

1. Saute onion, garlic, and olive oil in a large skillet until tender
2. Add tomatoes, oregano, basil, salt and pepper to other ingredients, cover, simmer for 20 minutes
3. Make 2 layers of ingredients in the following order: ziti pasta, mozzarella, sauce, ziti, sauce
4. Bake uncovered at 350 for 30 minutes
5. Sprinkle remaining mozzarella and 2 T. grated Parmesan
6. Bake uncovered 10-15 minutes longer or until cheese melts
