5 cups all purpose flour, unsifted 2 teaspoon baking powder 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup sugar 1 cup shortening 2 cups buttermilk 2 pkg. yeast 3/4 cup warm water 1 teaspoon soda
Mix all dry ingredients. Mix in shortening and buttermilk. Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add to mixture. Place in covered bowl and place in refrigerator. Pinch out and roll as needed. Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 450º.
