Filled Cookies Recipe

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. milk
1 egg
pinch of salt
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
3 1/2 c. flour


3/4 C. sugar
1 C. water
2-3 T. flour or corn-starch to thicken
1/2 box raisins or 1 can crushed pineapple (don't add water to pineapple nor drain juice either)


Dough: Mix ingredients together and make thick enough to roll. Roll out and cut in circles (use a glass).
Filling: Cook ingredients till thickened, cool. Put filling in one circle and top with another. Pinch together then put fork holes in top.
Bake at 375 until lightly brown.
