1 cup shortening
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup boiling water and 1 cup warm water
1 teaspoon salt
2 whole eggs
3 packages yeast
5 cups plain flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar. Add boiling water and mix. Add salt and eggs one at a time, beating well. Add yeast which has been dissolved in warm water. Add flour one-half cup at a time. Place in a well greased mixing bowl. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use, up to several days. Take out the amount needed and punch down. Knead on floured board about ten times. Roll out and cut with biscuit cutter. Brush tops with melted shortening. Fold in and and brush tops again. Place on a greased pan. Cover. Let rise for 1 hour. Bake at 450º.
