Cherry Berries in the Snow Recipe

6 large egg whites
½ tsp. crčam of tartar
¼ tsp. salt
1 ¾ c. sugar
6 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. cream – whipped
2 c. mini-marshmallows
1 can cherry pie filling
2 pkgs. frozen sliced strawberries
1 tsp. lemon juice

Preheat oven to 275. Beat egg whites, cream of tartar, and salt until frothy. Gradually beat in sugar, a little at a time. Beat until thick and glossy (about 15 minutes). Spread into buttered 13x9 pan. Bake 1 hour. Turn off oven and leave until cool. ( I leave it overnight)

Mix cream cheese with sugar and vanilla. Gently fold in whipped cream and marshmallows. Spread over meringue. Refrigerate 12 hours. Mix pie filling, sliced strawberries, and lemon juice. Serve in squares, topped with berry mixture.
