1 cup cocoa, unsweetened
1 cup four
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1 1/4 cups chocolate chips
1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
5 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
3/4 cup your favorite nuts (optional)

Preheat oven 350
Combine cocoa, flour, salt, and baking powder; set aside
Melt 1/2 cup chocolate chips over low heat in a double boiler (microwave works too), taking care not to let burn
In a medium-sized bowl cream butter and sugar until smooth
Add eggs one at a time beating until fluffy
Add melted chocolate and vanilla and beat again until fluffy
Fold the dry ingredients into fluffy mixture just until combined
Fold in the remaining chocolate chips and nuts (optional)
Pour mixture into a greased 9"x13"x2" baking pan
Bake 1 hour or until tester inserted in center comes out clean

These are really rich and yummy! I think it is important to add the eggs one at a time to maintain the fluffy texture which is the secret behind these decadent treats.
