3 cups apples, peeled and sliced
1 cup sugar
2 tsp flour
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 cup quick oatmeal
dash of salt

Mix together the first 5 ingredients and put in greased 6 X 8 baking dish sprayed with Pam. Use more sugar if using sour apples.
Mix the topping with hands. Sprinkle over apples so it is solid, then press down and seal on sides. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Beware of bubbling over! Top with ice cream or cool whip.
