2 sticks butter
1 1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
4 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
3 cups flour
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/3 - 1/2 cup milk
2 cans of cherries or desired pie filling

2 cups powdered sugar
1 Tablespoon butter
1/4 c of milk to form drizzle consistency

Beat all ingredients by hand. Pour 2/3 of batter on prepared pan. Spread pie filling on top and then dab with rest of batter. Cut through batter with knife to swirl. Bake at 350 until lightly browned 20 - 25 min Cool and frost with icing.
This makes a BIG cookie sheet or 2 9X13 pans

This was an old recipe that we baked when I was on the farm. Good as a dessert or as a breakfast sweet cake.
